We first started working with Neil Eastwood founder of Sticky People 4 years ago and felt it was about time to put them in the spotlight as they are a fantastic reseller to work with.

Sticky People provide best practice recruitment, selection and retention tools, techniques and consultancy to care and healthcare providers in the UK. Neil and the team are on a mission to help UK providers implement these tools and techniques in order to help address the social care workforce crisis in the UK.

Now for a little Q&A with Neil from Sticky People.

Q: What does a typical day look like at the Sticky People Head Office?

What happens in the office changes depending on the time of year. The Spring and Autumn are often busy times for sector conferences, where we are often asked to present our research findings and share tips that help healthcare employers find and keep staff.

All year round there are free 30 day trials of Big 5 Assessments underway with social care recruiters looking to improve their understanding of applicants’ suitability for the role. We also have renewal requests every week as over 90% of our clients continue with us when their licence comes due.

stickypeopleQ: What is the biggest current challenge facing the Home Care Industry?

Home care providers in the UK and Ireland, as is common with many other countries, would cite recruitment and retention as their biggest challenges. How does a provider find enough high quality staff and keep them?

The labour market has got much more competitive and job boards have become crowded with employers both from within social care and from other sectors seeking strong candidates for customer-facing work. But, especially for care employers, any warm body is not good enough, the candidates have to be right for the job.

We are pleased to play our part as clients tell us their level of disciplinary issues drops significantly when they use Big 5 Assessments.
