Although it\u2019s easy to\nbecome overwhelmed as the world of business takes a huge shift, it\u2019s not time\nto throw in the towel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Plenty of businesses have countless staff who,\nuntil very recently, were core to the daily operation and are now left standing\naround (or sitting at home) with their hands in their pockets, feeling like an\nunwanted spare part. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, if there\u2019s one thing we\u2019ve learned in\nthe years working with businesses around the globe, it\u2019s that you<em> can <\/em>teach an old dog new tricks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A company reshuffle<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>In the situation where one or a number of\nstaff member\u2019s positions are compromised or rendered obsolete during the\ncurrent pandemic, rather than to furlough or layoff, it is most effective to\nreshuffle the current staff into relevant positions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although this can be a struggle for some\ncompanies, for others, the reshuffling of positions can change the emphasis and\nfocus on different, more currently relevant areas, to capitalise on the current\nsituation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re not talking about receptionists becoming\nself-isolating bricklayers or vice versa, but a small change in the job\ndescription to cover the identified most important areas of the business. So,\nfor example, where a receptionist may have increasingly little to do in the\ncurrent situation, they may have underlying content creation or HTML skills\nthat the company can capitalise on. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So how do you effectively reshuffle a company\nto capitalise on the strengths of the individuals during a crisis? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s simple, you just need to know the\nstrengths and weakness of each employee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Psychometric Testing <\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Perhaps the very best method to identify\nemployees strengths and weaknesses is through a psychometric test. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are countless benefits to a psychometric\ntest that come into play at any stage of the employment cycle including, but\nnot limited to, the following: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Get more insights into your\ncandidate\u2019s job fit.<\/li><li>Screen candidates more quickly and\nrobustly.<\/li><li>Identify top talent more easily\nthan before.<\/li><li>Reduce your organisation\u2019s levels\nof employee turnover.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>During the coronavirus pandemic, there\u2019s\nanother, very specific benefit of the psychometric testing and it directly\ncorrelates with the reshuffling of the company.
