We’ve started a new tradition here at Big 5 Assessments of highlighting a “Reseller of the Month.” With so many resellers (we now have over 20 resellers around the globe ), it’s hard to choose just one, but February’s honour goes to (drum roll, please) …People Traits

We first started working with Paul Logan founder of People Traits in the summer of 2016, and have been very impressed with his dedication and enthusiasm.

Based on rigorous psychology and scientific method, People Traits provide online pre-employment psychometric assessments for recruiters, Hiring Managers and HR Professionals to identify future talent, look beyond the CV and objectively improve their recruitment effectiveness.

Now for a little Q&A with Paul Logan from People Traits

What does a typical day look like at the People Traits Head Office?

A typical day for us will usually involve dealing with a number of requests for free trials of the assessments.  Setting up these trials and then providing feedback on the results, when the trial has been completed, is one of our main activities.  Setting up assessments for new clients, using the Applicant Manager software also occupies some time.  Some clients ask us to manage an assessment process on their behalf and we are happy to do this.

Tell us a bit more about the people behind People Traits?

The directors of Big 5 Assessments have strong backgrounds in psychology and the learning environment, with a combined experience in learning of over 40 years. We have also been involved in business for many years and have recruited and managed staff in large organisations over many years, so we appreciate the importance to client of what we are trying to do in assisting them to recruit and retain the right people to help them maintain and grow their businesses.

You mentioned that ‘two heads are better than one, and using People Traits’ assessments is like having an expert in the room with you’. Can you elaborate on this?

Our assessments are firmly rooted in psychological theory using best practise methods as defined by the British Psychological Society and put all the expertise of psychologists at your disposal in selecting the right candidate.  The assessments will provide you with an objective, scientific evaluation of your candidates to help you make the right hiring decision. Our assessments are reliable and powerful predictors of career performance, and give a consistent insight into a candidate’s strengths and behaviours.

What exciting new projects are you currently working on?

One of the most exciting things we are currently working on is the implementation, with our partner company People Clues; of a new range of assessments aimed at graduates and younger people to assist them in understanding what careers and type of job might best suit their abilities and personalities.  We hope to be able to direct clients, based on an analysis of their assessment results, directly to appropriate areas of the National Careers Database.
